The Dozey "Critics" Of 50 Shades Of Grey
I read the first book and half the second and stopped because I felt they were AWFULLY written. So many typos too. I thought "Pffft, I can write better than this yoke.."
The film? Fab Dot Com!
I mean I've heard so much crap about it more so than good so I downloaded it so I didn't pay a tenner to watch it in the cinema and feel like I wasted money. But I have to say it was a great watch, pity about the ending being so abrupt, but then again it made me anticipate the new release of the sequel.
That goes to show that these 'critics' who earn big money to portray a book or film are basically just people giving their opinions. They're paid to make us follow their opinions and apparently what they think is the right way and if you go against that you apparently don't know what you're talking about. It's complete bullshit. You don't learn how to be a critic, you just keep talking until someone gives you money to continue that talking and call it a career.
No one talks about how this film reached $500 million or so in it's first week of release, they just criticise it because it's something different and has kinky scenes in it. Oooh, big deal. If it was that bad for the US, Ireland or the UK, then why did it's content surpass all of the censor guidelines? Fair enough, it was banned in India, but they edited the sex scenes and you lose a total of 5 minutes screen time.
The thing is, it's being seen as this sex book/film, when really it's just about a fucked up guy and an entranced girl. Sin é! (Irish for that's all)
I don't care what anyone says, everyone was excited by this film because it's the first of it's kind to be shown in a cinema instead of joining the porn shelf. It was edgy, raunchy and it took a chance on being a failure but came out a serious success. It has a storyline which does keep you glued to the screen and I know this because originally I believed the opinions of it being shit, but I was stuck to this film from beginning to end.
The stupid part I keep hearing is how the two main actors Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have "no chemistry" on set. Hello? His character is a closed off male who was abused as a child, he's hardly going to be all magically lovey dovey with the girl! And the way they're stand offish is because that's the stage the relationship is at in the film. It's the whole plot of the film!
The link of saying the 50 Shades characters copied Twilight is such a ridiculous statement because anyone who knows anything will realise the 50 Shades books were meant to be a spin-off of Twilight and originally Christian Grey was a vampire, hence her always being entranced by him, etc. They made him human so it wouldn't be a complete identical, obviously.
Everyone just shut up giving out about how 50 Shades Of Grey is crap because from my experience, the ones who are giving out about it are the ones who actually haven't seen it.
I only have time for those who genuinely watched it and don't/do like the film, or any film for that matter. It's so easy to say I don't like this or I don't like that, mainly because it looks different, you're unsure or others feel a certain way about it, making you follow their opinions. I personally liked the film because that's how I feel, others don't, but just because some do and some don't doesn't make the film good or bad, or any film for that matter. Films are made to entertain people, not everyone, just people. Same goes for 50 Shades Of Grey.
Don't bother being a sheep. Find out your likes and dislikes for yourselves and make the most of having your own individual mind.
Basically: Think for yourself and no-one else :)
